CHERITON FITZPAINE GARDEN CLUB

We are a very friendly and thriving village group with approximately 65 members, we meet in the Parish Hall once a month for maybe a talk by a visiting speaker on an aspect of gardening or a workshop for example.

We have added workshops to our activities which are proving very popular with attendance and interest growing at each event and has attracted new members from all ages.  We have made Christmas wreaths and garlands,  summer baskets, pots and also made a floral arrangement.  There are lots of new ideas in the pipeline, so don't miss out.

Funds are raised by members’ subscriptions which are £12 for an individual over 18 and £6 for under 18's. Sometimes we also hold fund-raising events.  Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

In addition we occasionally visit gardens of interest during the Summer – for example we visited Marwood Gardens in North Devon, which was followed by a delicious cream tea and this year we plan to visit a garden equally as interesting – watch this space!

Our A.G.M is now held in January and the Committee meets regularly and works hard to organise special events. It puts together the programme for the following year plus the schedules for the Spring and Summer shows, which include some classes open to non-members.

Visitors are very welcome to come to our meetings (£2.00 donation).
